This might be the most brief review I've ever had to write. Because this is a movie that defies any kind of critical look. It's Abraham Lincoln fighting Confederate vampires. The idea is just too silly to take it seriously. But I had a really great time.
There were some times that the movie really tried to take itself seriously. They tried to crank up the drama at a few points but those are offset by a vampire throwing a horse or a powersliding carriage. If these kinds of things appeal to you, it's worth seeing.
Some of the things I appreciated were the complete lack of shaky cam and the many Civil War refrences sprinkled through the movie.
I say give it a try.
